Teen and Young Adult Movement

Moving or exercise has many healthy benefits at every age. "Movement" plays an important role in regulating the hormones involved with bone development, growth, brain function and the growth and function of all of our organs and muscles. It is never too early or too late to get moving! It is also important for children to see and participate with their parents having fun (not just on vacation).

Many adolescents and young adults are very conscious of appearances, theirs and those of their peers. Because of this, they often become very interested in their eating habits and exercise and suddenly begin eating salads and want to join a gym. Of the many benefits of urban living are the ease and safety of walking and cycling. Both of these methods of transpiration help to satisfy the young person's desire for autonomy and independence. Parents, please do not be hurt if your child prefers to sleep in rather than go for a walk or workout with you.
