Motor Vehicle Safety for Teens and Young Adults

Yes, this day has finally come or is perhaps not far off. Your teen or young adult is beginning to learn to drive or is driving independently. You may think of this as their first step towards independence, but in fact they have been taking steps in this direction their entire lives! Remember when he or she began crawling and going where he/she wanted to go? Remember those first steps? And do you remember taking the training wheels off of the bike? And you survived! Oh, and did we say there is more to come? Well, we do hope you've been setting a good example because you won't be there to fasten them in, put away the cellphone and other devices, stop at stop signs and red lights and drive at the speed limit. For more information, please visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (http://www.nhtsa.gov/Vehicle+Safety) for more information. And remember there is always Metro and the Capital Bike Share (www.capitalbikeshare.com)
